Men's Club Updates

Hello members and future members who have not signed up yet!

Here's what's new:

-Calendar is accurate and updated on the website. A pdf copy to print or reference can be found in the documents section of this site. If you click on "calendar" it'll show a google calendar.

-Bob sent out an email to all members announcing the simplification of our tee box rules. There has been confusion in the prior years with a lot to remember/add up so we thought it best to K.I.S.S. The new rules are as follows: Under 70 years old play from Whites or Blues. 70 years or older play from whatever tee box you see fit (Blues, Whites, Gold, Red). You stay at whatever tee box you started at; i.e. no changing to whites on par 3's because there's a KP. If you want to play from the whites on the KP's, play your whole round from the whites. The GHIN/Handicap system is setup to account for which tee box you play from. Switching from blues to whites mid-round is against/messes up this system and is against the rules of golf.

-There were some conflicting dates (ie when club games/tournaments like match play will begin) in the email sent out by Bob. Stick with the calendar unless you hear otherwise in the future.

-Easter has been added to the calendar as a gangsome instead of taking it off. Until a few years ago, a gangsome was always played on Easter. The last few years we've skipped it. We understand there may be a low turnout Easter Sunday but didn't see any harm letting people play in a gangsome that Sunday if they wish.

That's it for now. I'll try to keep updating this blog with pertinent information as the season approaches and progresses.

Hit'em straight!
